gosh, I can relate to the quivers and shakes that come when re-igniting and re-connecting to layers of our body! I go through periods of less consistency, and can feel like a beginner on the mat when I come back. It's humbling. The beauty is how quickly your body can remember and bounce back. Loving you Sharon! Thank you for sharing your process with us! Meghan

Juliana Cortes that is so wonderful to hear! I'm so happy that the little adjustment helped! And it's so beautiful to hear that you are cultivating the awareness to be gentle with yourself and really listen to your body! That's the best. Big Big love to you from rainy Bali <3

Hi Juliana!! Great question:) One important key alignment point to follow is to be sure that your toes are pointing in the same direction as your knee caps. When you are pivoting on your feet, try activating your toes, drawing them towards your shin. This will activate the musculature of your lower leg, in a sense creating a "muscular cast" that will allow your knees and toes to "travel together" in the same directions with greater ease.  Give this a try and see how it feels! And let me know if it helps!  Big love to you <3 Meghan

Sarah Hessey Wow, first of all, thank you for your very beautiful and articulate share. Second of all I can really relate. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders now, but I used to carry a lot more. I am still unwinding, and learning from it. One thing I can say is that self massage has helped me a lot, but not just in the musculature of the shoulder girdle, but also through my face, jaw, and sternum. Body tapping is also a great way to release physical/emotional tensions. Making sounds like ahhhh but exploring different tones of sound helps so much to release. And then to do some myofacial release, perhaps provided by an external therapist, can unwind a lot. There are so many things, but I'll leave it here for now! Oh, also, body-talking! you can ask your body why it's holding this, and ask if it's ok to release some layers of it and then consciously melt. Know that our bodies are soooooo smart, and there is a very good reason for this tension. It's not your enemy, make friends with it💖
