Happy New Year Meghan and community!

What a whirlwind of a December it's been. As a teacher, finishing up the year with the students (in Australia we finish in December), to having my dad and sister come visit from overseas - it has been quite tricky to find pockets of time for myself and reflection. Thankfully, I've carved out some time to fit in my morning yoga, finish about 60% of our book of the month, and even get through some of the journaling prompts. I am so thankful to have these tools to guide me back to self, even during the busiest times of the year, so thank you Meghan.

The book has got me thinking about this idea of 'vocation' and what it truly means to live a life connected to my truest self. It's been affirming to hear the concept that when a door closes, this doesn't need to be framed as failure, but instead an opportunity to choose a path that is more aligned with who you are. It's such a beautiful reminder to let go of outside pressures when deciding your path.

HNY!

Hi Meghan,

I have received a BOLSTER for Christmas! I would adore a restorative class focused around opening up the spine through the tool of a bolster. This was one of my favourite ways to slowly open, back when I was going to a studio.

Thanks for your consideration!

Hi! My name is Cassandra. I am Canadian but living in Australia (Melbourne). I am a primary teacher here with my husband! Growing up I was a gymnast and retiring from the sport at 15 left me with a hole in my life. I struggled with finding a good relationship with my body, mind and soul. Yoga helped me find myself a 'post-gymnast me.' From 16 on I did classes at home, eventually tried out yoga studios and loved the community. I love the feeling of celebrating what my body can do in a way that is so different than gymnastics which was steeped in this notion of 'push push push' instead of 'listen, breath, accept, love, etc.' Meghan's studio is something really special to me, because joining in 2021 and deep diving into her Metamorphosis program was a huge shift in my practise. I had done yoga for about 10 years but classes weren't able to really get me to my edge and challenge me. These past 3 years are when I have been more consistent than ever, practising 3-5 days a week and I have watched my body become strong, like it used to feel growing up. I feel like I've found myself again. This year long journey gets me so excited as well because I am always working to develop my self-care practises (especially as a teacher). Thanks for listening to my story and lovely to 'meet' you all!

Such a beautiful class to do before I go to work to feel grounded. Loved it, thank you <3

My class request would be another 4 chilli pepper one hehe - maybe working our way into scorpion pose?

Have a lovely week Meghan and Olga and sending love to the Meghan fam! <3

I came back to this class, which sits in my favourites, today. It was my birthday gift to myself. It is my favourite class Meghan has ever done. "Slow, Steady, Strong" perfectly embodies her yoga style and it is such a transformative, beautiful and liberating way to practise. I feel so good and I can't thank you enough Meghan! Ahhhhh <3

Wow, I was left feeling floaty and buoyant, yet grounded and calm. Maybe that's what balance feels like for me 🧐. What a wonderful experimentation into how the breath can transform an anxious moment into a beautiful one. Thank you as always 🥰
