Poetry ❤️

Did this practice this morning. It felt so great. Had to move around my home a few times to get all the right “props”. I am far from doing hollowback against the wall, but I found doing a work up in the hallway between two walls let me play around with each leg going into the posture.

Thanks for the practice again. This challenge has been getting me through the rough tides of emotional storms 💗

My favorite thing about how this challenge is orchestrated, is it really provides connection to the seasons changing. It’s a very short spring where I live. And it’s easy to go from the feeling of winter to summer, with no room for transition in between. With April’s classes I can really feel the process of my body opening up and waking up. It’s reminiscent of what it feels like to be in a spicy yoga practice in the middle of summer, but just in all the ways that feels as though it’s melting away stagnicity. It feels so good!

I made it an hour and 15 in before I decided it’s time for me to rest, but that was amazing. I feel amazing. This was a great addition to my practice. I’m left feeling so connected, and can’t wait to feel through this the next time I get on my mat.  Many thanks! 🙏 ❤️

I might be speaking out of turn, but your comment put me on a hunch so I did a bit of looking into it. I think it might be a helpful outlook for you in this regard. In many yoga traditions, there is the convention of “left love, right light.” This referring to the balancing energies of the body; the left side of the body is associated with feminine and yin energy, and the right side associated with masculine and yang energy. Now I wouldn’t necessarily imagine those energies as tools to decide which posture to do on one side personally, but I do think perceiving the breath, prana, moving through the spaces as it happens on each side may be a very intuitive guide as it comes. As in, it might be a way to speak the language of the body and breath, by characterizing the spaces in a way of balancing energies moving throughout. ❤️

I did forget to touch on one thing. How this program has shaped me, my takeaways from it. Truthfully I am still trying to process it all. I feel the openness and activity throughout my body and mind readily, but what I’m still trying to process is the greater connection to my heart and the opening up of my heart. As is the ongoing journey, I seem to have more insight than usual, and more assertive in what experience is true to me. I am more open to emotions that I need to process, and I’ve let myself feel my heart’s attachment to things that I have lately felt I have not had time to entertain. It reminds me how a lot of things in life are cyclical, we return to the homes in our body with ever expanding knowledge and perspectives.
