Commented on Steeping In Change

I am someone who lives with diagnosed PTSD and have recently been going through a flare up like I've never experienced before, but with so many tools I've built in the last 15 years (many through working with Meghan online!). I could see myself in freeze mode the last few days, and know that I usually need movement with firm/strong sensation to move through it. This class was the perfect blend of expansion and stretch with challenge and sitting in discomfort to remind myself that I can face uncomfortable things-- but ****also, the poetry and beautiful cues and concepts are SO essential while opening back up, and that is what I think a lot of conventional support misses. We need the beauty when we open back up to the world. I need to see the twinkling. Thank you, thank you, for this guidance through looking at my change and finding the sparks. Also-- Abu's jungle adventures in your plants are essential, shout out to that yogi, too. <3

Meghan Currie yes! Thank you! 🌿 I find that specific struggle in getting my weighted foot to flatten (I’m on my toes currently) in skandasana, also in pistols I’m struggling to get my foot to flatten, and in this roll-up-to-squat I just couldn’t figure it out! I also have to be on my toes a bit in squats in general. So it seems like this is all related, and I’m hoping to strengthen toward growth in those poses! Any insights would be so appreciated! 🪷🩷

I loved this mind warp! Thank you so much, that final skandasana felt amazing 🌿I am discovering lately that my outer/side/backish thigh isn't wanting to activate-- I can't even find it mentally and ask it to pitch in! Especially for those roll-into-squats, it feels like my key player is MIA. I also really struggle with getting my feet flat in squats and skandasanas, and my inner legs overpower... so I am wondering if this is all related. The quest continues! If there is/are a class(es) I can build up that body teamwork with, I am open to suggestions! 🪶

Thank you, thank you!! I am absolutely loving the journal workbook so far-- I printed it out and did a deep dive this weekend to catch up to the day so that I can rebuild a daily journal ritual. Having seasonally reflective prompts has felt transformative, like I'm at a farmer's market to cook for my spirit! I grew weary of just reaffirming my narratives with 'brain dump' journaling and haven't found random prompts to feel generative, but this style feels soooo luscious and imaginative and I can see it building me toward choosing more carefully what I want to plant in the new year <3

Dear Meghan, this side body series has been completely transformational in support of my ashtanga practice! Being able to locate, strengthen, and ignite my side body to lengthen my spine in every pose, to move more from my core, to expand into the side of my hips-- wow, wow, wow. Most importantly, I feel soooo yummy and fun after each practice! Thank you, thank you <3

***Thank you so much for this class!*** it felt incredible. I am very here for a longer rhythmic pranayama class if you ever feel it is something to share via this platform. The counting build-up felt so nice and melodic and I wished it went on for longer! A meditation after would also be so lovely, that balanced space at the end feels gorgeous. For now, I will dive more into your Breath is Boss workshops <3
